Willigers demand Gaydamak's shares in Ameris

Ameris rejects the demand and informs the TASE that the Willigers options have no validity.

Zwi and Yossi Williger are demanding to receive Arcadi Gaydamak's 195,000 shares in Ameris Holdings Ltd. (TASE:AMRS.B1) This was contained in a letter sent by their lawyer to Ameris, in which it was asked to detail their holdings to the TASE.

Ameris did not accede to the demand but rather reported to the TASE about the letter from Yossi Segev, the lawyer representing Gaydamak, who acts as the trustee for his holdings in public companies, and in which it is claimed that the options held by the Willigers are "void and unenforceable," and therefore, Ameris has no need to transfer the shares. Among other things, it was claimed in the letter, that the Willigers had not transferred documents to prove their lien on Ameris shares.

Ameris holds 61.6% of Petro Group Ltd. (TASE:PTGR), which owns gas stations and convenience stores in the US.

Consequently, Ameris today announced that Elad Kushnir, who has served as the company's CEO for the past two years, will be replaced by his father Levi Kushnir, who also acts as chairman.
