iPoint Media in Sri Lanka cellular deal

Sri Lanka-based CNT will offer iPoint's 3G solutions to mobile operators and TV broadcasters.

Video application solutions company iPoint Media Ltd. (AIM:IPNT) has signed an agreement with CNT International Limited, a Sri Lanka-based systems integrator. CNT will offer iPoint-media's 3G video calling and participation TV platforms to mobile operators, service providers, and television broadcasters throughout the Asia Pacific region.

CNT CEO Suramya Karunaratne said, "Given the extremely fast growth and take-up of 3G services in the Asia Pacific region, we are confident that our partnership with iPoint-media will enable us to rapidly penetrate the market with state of the art 3G video value added services."

iPoint Media currently has a market cap on London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) of about $37 million. Tel Aviv-based iPoint was founded in 2001 by CEO Shmuel (Muki) Geller.
