Danya Cebus to build €158m Bucharest mall

The company will build the Cotroceni Park Mall for sister company Africa-Israel Properties.

company Africa-Israel Investments Ltd. (TASE:AFIL; Pink Sheets:AFIVY.PK) subsidiary Danya Cebus Ltd. (TASE: DNYA) has won a €158 million contract to be the chief contractor for the Cotroceni Park Mall in Bucharest. The 200,000-square meter mall is owned by Danya Cebus’s sister company Africa-Israel Properties Ltd. (TASE: AFPR) through AFI Europe Ltd. together with its partner US investment company New Century Holdings Capital.

The mall is adjacent to the king’s palace in the Cotroceni neighborhood in central Bucharest. leading international retailers have promised to rent stores in the new mall, including Marks and Spencer, Holmes Place Plc, Levis, Leonardo, Della Spora boutiques, IMAX cinemas, and Israeli fashion chain Fox-Weizel Ltd. (TASE: FOX).

Construction of the high-end mall will take 23 months. The earthworks for the project have already been completed. AFI Europe and New Century Holdings Capital bought the land for the mall in December 2005.

This is Danya Cebus's second contract in Romania in as many days.
