Mobile Internet firm InfoGin signs deal in Austria

mobilkom austria is the first Austrian operator to launch mobile Web services.

Web to mobile content adaptation provider InfoGin has launched its service with mobilkom austria. The service allows mobilkom austria to provide full mobile Internet services based on InfoGin's platform.

Kfar Saba-based InfoGin is a pioneer in the field of Web to Mobile content adaptation, enabling mobile users to access any Web site they desire, optimized to their mobile device.

InfoGin’s IMP is a server-based middleware platform that supports all mobile browsers, languages and advanced Web page features. The mobile Internet service will be promoted on mobilkom austria’s Vodafone live! home page, with customization and personalization to the user interface of mobilkom austria.

Subscribers in Austria are able to surf any Web site they desire on any WAP-capable mobile device. "Customers can access their favorite sites directly on their WAP-capable mobile phone with a single click," said mobilkom austria Director of Marketing, Distribution and Customer Services Dr. Hannes Ametsreiter.

InfoGin was established in April, 2000. The firm's patented technology offers a range of solutions, from a fully automatic intelligent conversion engine to professional content-editing and marketing tools that enable full control over the delivered information.
