Avalonet completes Bank Leumi Ukraine project

The company beat IBM, BMC, and HP for the $2 million tender.

Business transaction management (BTM) solutions developer Avalonet Ltd. has completed a $2 million computer project for Bank Leumi (TASE: LUMI) in Ukraine. The company won the tender for the bank’s IT and communications sytems, beating IBM Inc. (NYSE:IBM), BMC Corporation (NYSE:BMC), and Hewlett Packard Co. (NYSE:HPQ).

The Bank Leumi Ukraine project is designed to improve the stability of the bank’s business services by locating breakdowns in the computer infrastructure and supporting communications networks. The company earlier won a similar project from the Bank of Russia.
