Whitewater to invest in Israeli water technology cos

The company will examine companies with proven growth in their fields and domination of their market segment.

Ori Yogev, who founded Whitewater to invest in Israeli and foreign water technology companies, has been joined by new investor Hannah Gertler, who will essentialy manage the fund with Yogev. The company, established in 2006, has NIS 30 million cash, funded by Yogev and Gertler. They plan to establish an international enterprise that will acquire companies and provide solutions and products for improving water treatment and monitoring. The company said that it would carefully examine companies with proven growth in their fields and domination of their market segment.

Whitewater is the latest Israeli water investment venture. Shari Arison and former Mekorot National Water Company chairman Baruch Oren have established a fund to invest in water. Benjamin Gaon has established Aqua-Agua Fund, IDB Holding Corp. Ltd. (TASE:IDBH) subsidiary Elron Electronic Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: ELRN; TASE: ELRN) has made a number of investments in water companies in the past year, some of them together with Aurum Ventures MKI Ltd., owned by Morris and Benji Kahn. Two incubators, LN Technologies Ltd. and Kinarot-Jordan Valley Technology Incubator have water companies in their portfolios.
