Israel’s largest retailer is in talks with New Pharm regarding store-in-stores.
Sources inform ''Globes'' that IDB Holding Corp. Ltd. (TASE:IDBH) subsidiary Super-Sol Ltd. (TASE:SAE;Pink Sheets:SSLTF.PK) is negotiating with New Pharm Drugstores Ltd. to set up store-in-stores at the supermarket chain. The two companies are also considering setting up a joint private label, similar to rival Super Pharm Ltd.’s “Life” label.
If a contract is signed, this will be a major deal that will solve New Pharm’s severe deployment problem, and will also give Super-Sol an important growth engine.
Super-Sol is Israel’s largest retailer, with a 38% market share following its takeover of bankrupt Clubmarket two years ago.
