Brazilian smart card co chooses Comverse billing system

Comverse Americas president Ramesh Barasia: Kenan FX gives Smart.Net the flexibility necessary to handle complex commissioning scenarios.

Comverse Technology Inc. (Pink Sheets: CMVT.PK) today announced that Brazlian smartcard company, Smart.Net, has selected the Comverse Kenan FX customer care, ordering and billing solution. Comverse did not disclose the size of the contract.

Smart.Net CEO Cid Antao said, "The Brazilian government mandates that employees receive assistance for transportation, food and meals. These benefits were previously allocated via paper vouchers. We replaced the voucher system with smartcards, which have numerous advantages.
