Retalix solutions will be installed at tens of thousands of BP locations.
Against the background of rumors of its sale to various parties, Retalix Ltd. (Nasdaq: RTLX; TASE: RTLX) today announced the signature of a strategic contract with oil and gas giant British Petroleum (BP Plc LSE:BP.L).
The Israeli retailing solutions developer announced that British Petroleum had selected its software solutions for installation in more than 27,000 gas stations, convenience stores and fast food restaurants in 18 countries worldwide.
The value of the deal was not disclosed, however market sources believe it to be worth tens of millions of dollars.
"This is a milestone contract for Retalix, marking our entry into the top-tier multi-national petroleum and convenience retail chains," said Retalix CEO Barry Shaked.
