Rocket hit Oil Refineries during Lebanon war

The Hizbullah rocket caused no damage or injuries.

Eight months after the second Lebanon war, “IDF Radio” (Galei Zahal) reports that a Hizbullah rocket hit the Haifa oil refinery, one of Israel’s most sensitive infrastructure installations, after a gag order was lifted about the incident. Only a miracle prevented a catastrophe.

The rocket caused no damage or injuries. Experts say that an explosion at the refinery could have cause leaks of hazardous materials that would have jeopardized the area’s residents.
