Market sources: The contract with the pan-European cable provider is worth a few million dollars.
Amdocs Ltd. (NYSE: DOX) will provide UPC Broadband, Europe’s largest cable network operator, with its CRM-6 system to replace UPC’s legacy system. Amdocs did not disclose the size of the contract, but market sources estimate it at a few million dollars.
UPC Broadband will initially deploy the CRM-6 in Romania and Switzerland and later expand the deployment to support triple-play (voice, video and Internet) services to its more than 12 million service subscribers. The Amdocs CRM 6 will allow UPC Broadband to reduce its total cost of ownership, automate the ordering process, improve customer service and shorten the time to market for new services.
