Yoggie named RSA “Most Innovative Company”

The prize was awarded for the company’s security appliance for mobile computers.

Israeli start-up Yoggie Security Systems Ltd. has won first prize as the “Most Innovative Company” at the RSA Conference 2007 Innovation Station Showdown in San Francisco, for the company’s Gatekeeper Pro security appliance for mobile computers. The company competed against nine companies shortlisted for the award.

Yoggie CEO Shlomo Touboul said, "Yoggie competed against international-grade companies. Winning first prize indicates that we’ve developed the most innovative approach to the data security available today.” He presented the company’s product before the judges panel made up of top venture capitalists, journalists, company security officers, and industry experts.

Yoggie, founded in 2005, has developed a miniature computer that gives employees access to security applications outside the office. The computer integrates various applications with proprietary technology with the capacity of a LINUX hard drive operating system.

Before founding Yoggie, Touboul founded and served as CEO of Finjan Inc., and invented behavior-based blocking technology. Yoggie’s system combines security applications for mobile computers for enterprises of every size. The company has raised $3 million from private investors, Earlybird Ventures and Silicom Ventures.
