cVidya to offer revenue assurance solution for mobile content

cVidya: The revenue assurance for mobile communications totals $77 billion a year.

cVidya Networks Inc. is entering a new market. The company announced that, next week, it will launch a revenue assurance solution for mobile content services, based on its flagship product, MoneyMap. This new solution will help operators to maximize profits from content-based services. This solution covers all aspects of revenue management in a content services environment, including issues of multi-party revenue chains and new technologies implemented in a legacy OSS/BSS environment.

The new product will be unveiled at the 3GSM World Congress 2007 in Barcelona next week.

cVidya says revenue assurance for mobile communications totals $77 billion a year, less than a tenth of global cellular revenue. The company says that content services currently account for 15% of revenue assurance, and is expected to increase to 50% by 2010, and that the revenue assurance market could reach $1 billion by 2008.

Last year, cVidya signed a number of contracts, mostly with European telecommunications operators, including Telecom Italia (NYSE:TI; Milan:TIT), Colt Telecom Group plc (LSE:COLT), Cable & Wireless plc (LSE:CW), and Swisscom AG (NYSE; SWX:SCM). The company has raised $13 million to date from Carmel Ventures, Star Ventures, Stage One Ventures, and Hyperion Israel Venture Partners.

cVidya president and CEO Alon Aginsky said, “We are proud that cVidya once again leads the field of Revenue Assurance by offering this off-the-shelf solution to answer service provider’s challenges"
