Baran to participate in South African salt plant project

Baran’s share in the $220 million project is $60 million.

Baran Group (TASE: BRAN; OTCBB:BRANF) subsidiary Baran Engineering and Projects (1983) Ltd. will participate in a consortium that will build a $220 million salt production plant in South Africa. Baran’s share in the three-year project is $60 million. The company’s partners are a US company and a South African contractor.

The first stage of the project, construction of which will begin immediately, will cost $10 million, of which Baran’s share is a third, including the preliminary engineering design.
