“Israeli” newspaper's computers repossessed

Other suppliers of the newspaper will likely take similar measures.

Sources inform ''Globes'' that the computers of “Israeli” newspaper were repossessed last week by the leasing company, after the company failed to pay for them. Other suppliers of the newspaper will likely take similar measures, in view of the uncertainty surrounding the paper because of the well-publicized dispute between its shareholders, Canadian media tycoon Sheldon Adelson and Shlomo Ben-Tzvi.

Hirsh Media Ltd., owned by Ben-Tzvi, said in response, “A review by Hirsh Media found that before Hirsh Media returned to manage ‘Israeli’ on Thursday, the computer company that supplied ‘Israeli’ with equipment ordered by Adelson’s special manager arrived at the office. This equipment was not paid for. The computer company therefore repossessed the computers. These were new, unused computers, and were repossessed because of a debt created by the Adelson group, which was not paid.”
