The shekel-dollar exchange rate has risen 0.6% since the mid-December low point.

Inter-bank shekel-dollar and shekel-euro trading trends are mixed today, with the shekel falling against the dollar but rising against the euro. The shekel has risen above NIS 4.20/$ for the first time since mid-December, when the exchange rate fell to a low point.

The Bank of Israel will set the interest rate for January today, which is expected to be cut to 4.5%. Investors will search for hints in the Bank of Israel’s press release about monetary policy over the coming year.

The shekel-dollar exchange rate has risen 0.6% since the mid-December low point. The shekel-euro exchange rate has fallen 0.05% to NIS 5.239/€, and fallen a further 0.3% in morning trading today.
