Ben Gurion Airport traffic up 9.45% over last year

The number of incoming and outgoing passengers totals 8.6 million since January, a 3.6% increase over the corresponding period last year.

1,757 aircraft landed in Ben Gurion Airport during the first three weeks of December, a 13% increase over the corresponding period in 2005, the Israel Airports Authority reports. 200,000 passengers arrived in Israel, 13.8% more than in the corresponding period last year. The number of landings and takeoffs totaled 3,521, a 12.8% increase over the corresponding period last year.

The number of landings and takeoffs totals 75,000 since January 2006, 9.45% more than in the corresponding period in 2005. The number of incoming and outgoing air passengers totals 8.6 million since January, a 3.6% increase over the corresponding period last year.

The number of domestic flights rose 9.2% in the first three weeks of December, and the number of passengers rose 13.7% over the corresponding period in 2005. The number of domestic flights has risen 15% since January and the number of passengers has fallen 1.9%.
