"Telecom exports to Russia to reach $210m in 3 years"

Israel and Russia have signed an export promotion agreement.

Telecommunications equipment exports to Russia will increase by $50 million over the next three years to $210 million, predicts Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute director general Yechiel Assia. The prediction is based on an export promotion agreement signed by Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor Eli Yishai and Russian Federation Minister of Information Technologies and Communications Leonid D. Reiman.

Under the agreement, a projects information infrastructure will be set up for upcoming Russian telecommunications projects, which will give Israeli companies access to business opportunities. This infrastructure will include a list of Russian telecommunications operators and Israeli companies interested in commercial ties in the sector.

The Export Institute added that the Russian operators association would provide marketing information about the Russian wireless communications market. Both parties also undertook to organize conferences and seminars to provide information and guidance for Israeli companies and Russian telecommunications operators.
