BDI: Iscar and Tnuva > also attract great interest from foreign companies.
Kibbutz Industry Association enterprises and low technology Israeli companies that generated the most queries from foreign companies and managers, especially procurement managers. 40% of the most queried Israeli companies are kibbutz industries. Strauss-Elite Ltd. (TASE:STEL) is the most watched Israeli company. Iscar Ltd. and Tnuva Food Industries Ltd. also attracted great interest from foreign companies.
The queries were made to the Kompass database owned by Coface, whose Israeli affilate is Business Data Israel (BDI), which includes industrial, commercial and service companies. The Kompass database includes 10 million companies in 100 countries. The review said that the acquisition of Iscar by Warren Buffett strongly boosted global interest in the company. The acquisition tender for Tnuva raised the company to ninth place in the rankings.
The five most queried Israeli companies were Strauss Elite, Iscar, its subsidiary MicroTools, Housing and Construction Holding Co. Ltd. (Shikun u'Binui) (TASE: HUCN) and Israel Chemicals Ltd. (TASE: CHIM).
