Sources estimate the contract with FPT Telecom to be worth $500,000.
Digital video solutions provider Optibase Ltd. (Nasdaq: OBAS) has won an additional contract by Vietnamese multimedia and Internet service provider FPT Telecom.
The size of the contract was not disclosed, but market sources estimate it at $500,000. The main importance of the contract is that the Asian market is considered to have the greatest growth potential for IPTV.
Optibase is expanding its initial IPTV offering with a series of Optibase streaming platforms. It is also providing other key IPTV components, enabling video on demand (VOD) and other features.
Optibase has a market cap of $50 million. The company posted a net loss of $3 million on $12.6 million revenue in January-September 2006.
