Haifa Building C'ttee approves second high-tech park

The city plans 200,000 square meters of high-tech space near the Check Post.

The Haifa Local Planning and Building Commission has approved construction of a second high-tech park in the city, to be located west of the Check Post junction north of city. The 300-dunam (75-acre) site slated for the project is privately owned. The Haifa municipality plans to build more than 200,000 square meters on the site, at 200% building rights.

Haifa's Matam High-Tech Park, located at the southern entrance to the city has 168,234 square meters of built-up space, including 28,900 square meters of parking lots. IDB Holding Corp. Ltd. (TASE:IDBH) unit Bayside owns 49.9% of Matam, and Haifa Economic Corporation owns 50.1%.
